Memo to Ronna McDaniels, Neil Portman, and Donald Trump: YOU HAVE TWO THINGS IN COMMON.

It’s a good time to be a feminist. The corollary to that would, in a sane world, be that it’s a bad time to NOT be a feminist, but as we all know, the world is not sane. So a bunch of IDIOTS can SAY THE DAMNDEST THINGS that are decidedly anti-feminist, and continue to succeed, even in the current environment.

“There is an investigation that’s going to take place. He should be allowed due process. And if he is found of any wrongdoing we will absolutely return 100 percent of that money. But we’re going to let due process take place.” - RNC Chair Ronna McDaniels, leader of the “What, Me? No.” movement.

McDaniels is talking about Steve Wynn, who, despite being a casino magnate in charge of Republican fundraising and supporting Donald Trump just as soon as it became clear Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio were doomed, was somehow involved in unsavory activities with female staff at various salons and spas and massage type institutions in his casinos. This was all revealed through extensive reporting through that rich-hating liberal rag, the Wall Street Journal.

What McDaniels knows, and what everyone who talks about “due process” in the Dicks On Pikes Era knows, and what everybody knows, and what for some reason nobody says when people like McDaniels use the “due process” point to avoid doing the right thing, is that there is no due process for this shit. There is no system in place designed for or equipped to handle these cases, because the system was built by and maintained by a bunch of ass-pinching fuckwads forever.

”It has to begin with… women who have the creativity in their hearts and souls, who want to be musicians, who want to be engineers, producers, and want to be part of the industry on the executive level... They need to step up because I think they would be welcome - Neil Portman, president of the National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences, not listening to the words coming out of his mouth.

Men confuse me. I mean, this shit’s been going down for months, and shit like it has been going down for YEARS. Even if you think, in the most retrograde of fashion, that it’s women’s fault they don’t win awards and that those who do don’t get to perform so there’s time for Sting and Shaggy demonstrate how bad this one idea they had was, why would you say it? Even if the only assurance you can give is that you “think” your dumbfuck idea would work, WHY WOULD YOU SAY IT?

I mean, I’m not the fucking president of the fucking Grammys .I have only the most rudimentary grasp of public relations gleaned from observation, andI knew this was a bad idea five words into the quote. Under different circumstances I’d be grateful for the sexism buried deep within American society to be so boldly exposed by someone too dumb to keep his stinkmouth shut, but we’re in Year Two of the Trump administration so we all know now all that lifting up the rocks does is give the things living under it more freedom of movement.

”No, I wouldn't say I'm a feminist. I mean, I think that would be, maybe, going too far,” - Donald Trump, in a room with Piers Morgan, in case you were wondering if there was a Pauli Exclusion Principle for gigantic assholes..

There are times when, as a writer, albeit a longtime amateur one, where you search for the perfect paragraph, sentence, or phrase to encapsulate your feelings and translate those feelings to the reader. And no matter how hard you try, you can’t find it. This is not one of those times.

NO SHIT.
